Maldives M/V Blue Spirit

Maldives Itinerary -

Best of the Central Atolls with Baa for 10 nights

Venture to the less-travelled atolls of the far north, a mainly uninhabited region with beautiful scenic reefs and soft corals. A delight for underwater photographers. As you journey between the central and the northern atolls, experience a shift in topography, corals and colours. Expect to see mantas, black and whitetip reef sharks, giant trevallies and colourful nudibranchs, and even a chance to see whalesharks around Baa Atoll. The diving in the north has less channel dives and more fringing reefs and submerged thilas, dotted with caves and overhangs.

MV Blue Spirit

M/V Blue Spirit is the embodiment of a comfortable and traditional Maldivian diving liveaboard - a true divers' liveaboard. The second blue o two fleet vessel in the Maldives, M/V Blue Spirit is smaller and able to provide a more exclusive diving experience than most other vessels can offer. Maldives diving enthusiasts will delight at her extensive range of itineraries, sailing all around the stunning atolls in the north and in the south. Her wooden hull has been specifically designed to optimize sailing through the waters of the Maldives, while her interior has been fitted out to heighten comfort and relaxation for guests aboard. M/V Blue Spirit measures 26m in length with a beam of 7m. Her shallow draft means she can moor in smaller and quieter lagoons which are inaccessible to larger vessels. She caters to just 12 divers and offers six en suite and fully air-conditioned cabins. Cabins include two double berth and four double/twin berth with lavishly fitted interiors.

The local currency of the Maldives is the Maldivian rufiyaa (MVR), however most large businesses including resorts and restaurants accept US Dollars. If you bring US Dollars cash it must be in good condition without damage, tears or stains. Please note that local banks (and therefore local businesses) will not accept old versions of US banknotes: the newer $100 banknote should have a blue security strip, and the $20 and $50 banknotes should not be dated older than 2004.
