Instructor Development Course - In conjunction with Dive Inn - Peterborough

The goal of the PADI Instructor Development Course is to prepare instructor candidates to function as PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors.

The Instructor Development Course is designed to further develop the leadership and teaching abilities of candidates to instructor level and prepare them to begin teaching PADI courses after successful completion of a PADI Instructor Examination.

  • 18 yrs of age
  • PADI Divemaster or equivalent
  • Current Medical Clearance within last 12 months
  • Have been a certified diver for at least six months and have completed
  • and logged at least 60 scuba dives showing experience in night diving,
  • deep diving and underwater navigation

IDC Registration: £82.25 payable directly to PADI.

Instructor Examination fee: £358.38

IE Prerequisites

  • To attend an Instructor Examination (IE), the instructor candidate must have at
  • At least 100 logged scuba dives (exceptions may include PADI 5 Star Career
  • Development Center candidates, so 60-100 logged dives)
  • Submit proof of CPR and first aid training within the last 24 months.
