The Best of Visayas islands is a vast area with and home to some of the best scuba diving the Philippines offers. The itinerary route will be chosen once guests board and is based on weather, sea conditions, and visibility and the favorable route will be chosen.

From soft coral covered walls to black sand dives to Thresher sharks, huge schools of sardines, turtles, schools of jacks and whale sharks. On the macro side there is fascinating critters such as waspfish, ghost pipefish and many other unique bottom dwellers, offering lots of diversity.

Diver Prerequisite: To get the most out of this diving it is best to be a Advanced Open Water Diver with Nitrox for the 12-30m range and Deep to do the 30-40m dives

The Philippines is a fascinating lush tropical landscape with a backdrop of breathtaking mountains to an aqua blue sea. The diving is stunning, the weather fantastic and it untouched atmosphere makes it a really unique destination.


The Philippines is an island nation located in Southeast Asia with Manila as its capital city. The Philippine archipelago comprises 7,107 islands in the western Pacific Ocean. These islands are home to spectacular scenery, pristine beaches, incredible sights and lively cities. Dramatic drop offs, wrecks, caves and a richly varied marine life also guarantee fabulous diving. Combined with the renowned Philippine hospitality and warmth, an unforgettable dive holiday awaits.


You will find a true blend of cultures; the people are generally of Malay descent, but Philippine history has introduced Chinese, Spanish and American elements as well. The Philippines is a predominantly Christian country where eight out of ten Filipinos are practising Catholics. Filipino hospitality is legendary and the Philippines is the fiesta nation of Asia. Fiestas celebrate harvests, births and victories, as well as religious events. The Filipinos like to party and celebrations are found in every ethnic group and may be large regional events or small local happenings.

Arrival/Boarding/Departure

Each itinerary has a different embark/disembark location depending on the itinerary you are traveling on.Guests will be met at the airport on the charter start date by a staff member of the Philippines Aggressor wearing an Aggressor uniform shirt at 4 pm and transferred to the yacht.

We strongly recommend to arrive at least one day prior to the charter start date and to stay in either a hotel or resort. 

Hotels/Resorts Transfers 

  • Visayas Itineraries: Complimentary transfers are provided from the Waterfront Airport Hotel to the yacht. Pickup time is 4 -5pm.
    Guests already in the country should meet at the Waterfront Airport Hotel or make their own way to the yacht located at the Cebu Yacht Club.


All guests must be onboard by 19th December 6pm for the yacht briefings, dinner then departure for its first night anchorage with the first dive the following morning.

CLIMATE

Dry Season - December - May Air 25c water 27-29c. The climate of The Philippines can broadly be described as hot and tropical. Most people visit The Philippines during the dry season. However, many regular visitors attest that the best time to visit is during the wet season and that the proliferation and variety of marine life is best June, July and August.


Dry season: December to May

Wet season: June to November


During the dry season, easterly winds prevail and air temperature is in high 20's to mid 30ºC. February to May are generally the hottest. Wet season winds are from the west, with air temperature in mid to high 20s. You can often strike lucky and have weeks of brilliant blue skies and unlimited sunshine. On the other hand, the rains, when they come, are impressive and prolonged. There are few rivers, so run off and its effect on water visibility is not generally a problem.


The Philippines is a large country and has many climatic variations from east to west and south to north.

LANGUAGE

Filipino is Officially the national language of The Philippines. This language is based on Tagalog which is the most widely used of the 70 plus dialects used within the country. English is also prevalent throughout the country, especially in tourist destinations. English is also widely used as the medium for education, communication and business. Eight major dialects spoken by majority of the Filipinos: Tagalog, Cebuano, Ilocano, Hiligaynon or Ilonggo, Bicol, Waray, Pampango, and Pangasinense.


CURRENCY

The unit of currency is the Philippine Peso (PHP). 1 Peso = 100 Centavos. The US dollar is the most widely recognised foreign currency. Euros & GBP are also readily exchanged.


The majority of larger towns have ATMs, however, facilities for money withdrawal or changing are far less widespread away from the main centres of population. There are bank machines at the airport. Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted in most towns, but you may be required to pay an extra 10-15% surcharge for their use. Outside of the main towns, not all places accept credit cards.

TIPPING

Tipping is expected for many services. The standard is 10% of the total bill or optional where there is a 10% service charge. You will be provided an envelope. All Aggressors accept cash, Visa, and MasterCard payments for gratuities.


Last Day of Charter - On the last diving day, the yacht will return to port in the afternoon.Dinner will be ashore and the staff will recommend restaurants close by.This is the only meal not included in the price of your trip.

Luggage Allowance Hold Luggage: 20KG with Philippine Airlines, 30KG with Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific. Hand Luggage: 7KG with all airlines listed.


Internal Flights & Luggage: When flying between islands with Philippine Airlines you are allowed 10KG hold luggage and 1 piece of hand luggage. Excess luggage will be charged at the airport at PHP200 (VAT inclusive) per kilo - this is around £3 per kilo.


British Citizens do not require a visa for a stay of up 30 days. A 6 month valid passport and returned ticket is required.
