The candidate will complete a 'Open Book' Exam, blend and analyze 5 Nitrox blends to the instructor’s satisfaction. These blends shall include at least one deco (high FO2 50-80%) mix. Not all blends should be made starting with an empty cylinder. Where practicable, one blend should include filling twin cylinders. If a set of twins are not filled, the instructor must ensure that the candidate is familiar with twin cylinder isolator manifold operation by providing a “hands-on” session.
