Diving on Saturdays, Sundays or the odd midweek days. All year round weather permitting. Min Advanced diver cert preferred and min 10+ UK dives. 2 dive day, firts dive on a wreck 20-40m, and second dive after a 1-2hr surface interval will be a drift dive over The Ledges a nearby reef or drift under the Brighton Pier if on a High tide.


Technical dives are arranged and usually midweek - CALL.

RULES

  • Max 12 divers on board
  • Bring packaged lunch and sea sikness tablets
  • Hot Cornish Pasties, Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided on boat.
  • No large O'Three Bags. Bring crates to put everything in and/or folding dry bags for clothes so to reduce clutter and keep everything outside and well protected.
  • Bring a trolley or use ones on the pontoon

Channel Diver is a 36ft SouthBoats 36/11 catamaran, built to D.O.T. specification and conforming to Marine Safety Agency requirements, she is licensed to carry 12 passengers  + 3 crew up to 60 miles from any safe haven. Powered by her twin FPT Iveco NEF engines, each producing 370hp, can give a boat cruising speed of 18 knots and a top boat speed of 25 Knots.


Fitted with the Latest Electronic aids which include  GPS’s,  PC / plotter, Radar, AIS ship recognition system, depth  sounders, VHF radio’s.     

Safety equipment includes two Oxygen Therapy Units, always ready for emergency use and for which there is no charge, a 1st Aid Kit is also carried. A liferaft and life jackets for 16 people, and a full flare pack is carried at all  times.  Whilst on the boat 3rd party insurance cover up to £3m provided.


The shelter area has seating for 12 people with hot air heating to keep you warm. There is Tea & coffee making  facilities, which you can just help yourselves too at any time. A wall mounted monitor screen relays navigation data from the wheelhouse or if you prefer you can just watch a DVD.


There is also a torch, camera and laptop charging facility as we have 12Volt, 24Volt and 240Volt  power supply onboard. There is an onboard toilet, which is manually operated and  a wash  hand basin, which has hot & cold water. Easy access onto the boat when loading & unloading,

this is done through the doors on the stern or the side door on the starboard side.


A centre bench system for your dive gear, runs down the centre of the boat, cylinders on top and dive boxes and bags underneath, this keeps the deck clutter free and easy to walk around.


Directions - From M25 Junction 7

Follow the M23 (S) to Brighton - BN2 5UP, head for the Marina Car Park. Park in the Multi-Storey opposite Asda.

Park on level 7 or 6 for FREE and walk accross bridge on Level 6 down 3 ramps to pontoon in picture. The ramps are to the left of the picture below. Large Trollies are available to use with a £1 coin, Steve has his own one by his Channel Diver boat to share out, or bring your own.
