BAE 146 Aircraft

National Diving and Activity Centre (NDAC) in Chepstow, commonly called 'Cheppy'. This is an inland lake and has a range of depths from 0-9, 9-18, 26, 45, 50 and 88 metres, all of which are marked with buoys and trapeze where appropriate and necessary. Only recreational single tank divers are able to use the 26m area. All other deeper areas require twin tank and Technical training.

Underwater Site Attractions

Training platforms that have been constructed from 40ft x 20ft Shipping Containers. These provide not only provide a stable, safe and exciting training platform but also act as a great swim-through attraction. Surface Attractions;

Zip Wire - The Wire is one of the UK's longest, tallest and fastest zip slides, running the 700 metre length of the spectacular NDAC Quarry. Launch yourself from the 70m high cliff edge and speed along the length of our 80m deep flooded quarry. Reaching speeds up to 40 miles per hour this exhilarating ride will take your breath away! Drive In Cinema Experience, Segway Active - Purpose built off-road obstacle course, Water Walkers, Fly-Boards - Flyboarding is an innovative and unique water sport, new to the UK. It allows the participant to fly over water, propelled into the air via a jet-ski at the end of a 10 metre hose.


You can either travel on the day there and back, 155 miles (2.5hrs drive time) from Chislehurst. Sometimse we will travel the night before and stay in a B&B. If you wish to dive for the whole weekend this is also possible. The Huntsman Hotel offers discounts for NDC Divers of £35pp. We also use Parkfield7, very nice Irish breakfasts served with Welsh Tea cakes. £50 twin/double room and £35 for a single. This is closer to Chepstow. Other Chepstow accomodation available.


There are toll fees to pay just one way on River Severn Bridge, cars pay around £6.50 and Vans £13.10. Or exit M4 at J15 and drive up to Gloucester and back down the A48 towards Chepstow for extra 40miles but will take another 40mins or so. Back on return can drive over bridge fopr free, only pay one way into Wales.

Directions From the North

Take the M5 South to Junction 15 - Turn west on the M4 towards South Wales - Turn onto the M48 towards Chepstow and Services - Cross the Severn and Wye Bridges and turn off at Junction 2 - Take the second exit A466 towards Chepstow and Tintern - Turn right onto the A48 at the next roundabout and continue into Chepstow. Continue through Chepstow on the A48 towards Gloucester, the National Diving & Activity Centre is 1.2 miles outside Chepstow on the left hand side.
